Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits sent a congratulatory note to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on the occasion of the Russian Federation’s national holiday — National Unity Day.

The note states, in part:

“This date embodies the key values ​​of Russian society: civic cohesion, devotion to the Fatherland, and a profound respect for the country’s centuries-old history.

Symbolizing the triumph of the national spirit and harmony, this holiday serves as a reminder that solidarity and commitment to a shared duty are the reliable pillars of a state’s sovereignty and successful development.

I pleased to note the consistently allied nature of the relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation.

I am confident that our strategic partnership and close coordination in the foreign policy arena—built on a solid foundation of friendship and mutual trust—will continue to be strengthened in every respect for the benefit of our peoples.”

Oleg Bartsits wished Sergey Lavrov good health, well-being, and inexhaustible energy, and wished the staff of the Ministry success in the implementation of all their planned initiatives.
